    Description

    Though I don’t know this dog’s manufacturer, I can infer from the few similar pieces I’ve seen online that it is German.
    Two near identical dogs I found are visibly inscribed with the number 8672 in the same font as the base inscription on this one (pic 14). This one clearly starts with 86 but the second two numbers are unclear. It is also marked 29 on the base of its paw (pic 15).

    Condition
    Excellent — no chips or repairs. Some minor hairline/crazing in the ceramic surface (pic 16). A couple small spots of paint and glaze wear on the mouth (pic 11).
