Loetz RICHARD Cameo Art Glass Lidded Box, c. 1920's

This listing is for a lovely vintage cameo etched and enameled Art Glass covered powder box.
This powder box was produced from 1920-1930 by the Loetz factory. Both the top and base
of the box are nicely detailed with a design of hops and leaves on an acid cut back textured lemon yellow and mottled green background.
This nice cameo powder box was made by the Loetz Glassworks in Austria established in 1840.  Most famous for their iridescent glass vases that rivaled Steuben and Tiffany, Loetz came out with a cameo line to compete with the French cameo glass makers in the early 1900's and
signed this cameo line "Richard".  Production was not as extensive as their iridescent glass and is not as easily found today.
Measures  3" high with a 4" diameter base.
This beautiful cameo glass box is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
