"Hannya-shingyou" is one of the Buddhist scriptures. It shows most of the Buddha's doctrine in short sentence and read in many Buddhist denominations.
There is no core inside.
Both ends are not sewn together, they are opened.
The style of such discontinuous pattern of this "
Obi
" called "
Rokutsuu
", which originally means "60%-partially-patterned". That is, the invisible part in appearance is not patterned.
It's made of fine thin silk threads and very soft.
